Painting portraits in oils used to be a hobby of mine until I discovered digital art and photo manipulation. One of the most important things to a writer is what their story's cover looks like. It's an exciting, and sometimes very disappointing, moment when seeing the cover for the first time.
I have Asperger's Syndrome and I tend to see everything in my mind as pictures rather than words. This is even true when I write and I tend to do things in reverse. I visualise a movie in my mind and then write the script. Because of this technique I also have very set images in my head of the characters. The only way I could get a physical picture of them was to make them myself. What started out as a hobby has turned into a passion for creating all sorts of digital/ photo manipulation art and, of course, designing covers.
If you're looking for another cover artist, or interested in having artwork designed for promotional purposes, please feel free to contact me. I'm more than happy to discuss your requirements with you and, hopefully, design something you'll love.
